Doda won as an Artist of Year!

Yes, Doda did it! Although in the category 'Album of Year' it was Feel who won, in the Artist of Year there was no competition for her! She sang two songs - completly new 'Nie daj sie' and the mix of Katharsis and Diamond Bitch.

Superjedynki today! Doda's surprises!

Today there are Superjedynki in TVP1, one of the most important music competitions in Poland! Doda will fight in two categories - Artist of the Year and Album of the Year. This means Doda will sing two songs - one of them is for sure the newest singel 'Nie daj sie' - Doda will sing it for the first time! And which song will be this second one? It's some kind of secret but there are rumours it will be provocative Diamond Bitch.

What else can we say about this performance? Doda will have special throne with special material bought in New York (it wasn't present in Europe). What's more - Doda bought some fashionable shoes for few thousands euros in London:



What's more - Doda didn't appear yesterday on the rehearsal. We suspect that Doda didn't want to show her surprises...

Saturday - Superjedynki, July - TOPtrendy with Doda!

2007 was Doda's year. She took part in three most important music festivals in Poland - she sang in Opole, she opened TOPtrendy singing two songs and conducted Sopot Festival (and also introduced To jest to). This year, Doda will take part in two of those festivals - this Saturday there are Superjedynki in Opole and Doda has a chance to receive two awards, as Artist of year and for Diamond Bitch (Album of year). Then, in July Doda will sing during TOPtrendy, of course in the section TOP (best selling artists each year). This means we'll see Doda in two from three most important TV stations in Poland (TVP1 and Polsat, not counting TVN with Sopot Festival). During Superjedynki Doda will sing her new singel 'Nie daj sie', which is still not known (only part of it, which was presented in the previous post).

Superjedynki: Feel

Superjedynki are closer and closer so we decided to present You artists who wil take part in this festival (of course not counting Doda in two of categories - Artist of the Year and Album of the Year). We'll start with the biggest Doda's competitor - the band called Feel.


Feel

Short history:
The band had few names but the real success came when they changed their name from Kupicha Band to Feel. They won Sopot Festival 2007 (which was conducted by Doda) and after this competition their song became one of the biggest hits of the year. Their first (and the only one till now) album is one of the biggest success in Polish music - it reachead the status of platinum three times and it's possible for the album to become diamand.

Opole is afraid of Doda's song!

As we have already written, Doda will sing during Superjedynki and will fight in two categories - Artist of the Year and Album of the Year. Doda wants to sing her song 'Diamond Bitch' from her album with the same name. But censorhip didn't allow her to sing everything! They told Doda to change two lines in the text - 'my opened legs' and 'my burning breasts'. Will Doda make what she is told to do? We have to wait for Superjedynki (14 June) to see what Doda will do with 'Diamond Bitch'.

Doda nominated in Superjedynki!

Doda is nominated in three from five categories in Superjedynki! They are one of the most important awards in Poland. Doda have a chance in: The Artist of The Year (now she's on the first place), The Hit of The Year (for Katharsis, now she's second) and The Album of The Year (for Diamond Bitch, now she's second). The rules of Superjedynki has changed and now in each category, people can vote once every week, of course on the Internet. This way there will be three artists chosen from each category and they will play during Superjedynki (this summer). Audience will decide who should win. This means it's possible we'll listen to Doda's songs three times during Superjedynki! Isn't it great?
